A beautiful original Symphonion Style 25 duplex comb music box with (13) 11 3/4 discs. Early ratchet/lever wind mechanism. All comb teeth are intact. Original hardware including the lions head lid pull ring. Original finish over a beautiful burl walnut case. The top of the case lid is carved (into the lid) birds on branches and flowers. The interior lid lithograph is beautiful and in excellent condition. There is an interior protective glass cover. The glass is old and wavy on both the lid lithograph and the protective cover. The soundboard is solid with no cracks. The music box winds up smooth and plays very nice. I did not hear any distortion or squeeking while playing. The case measures 19 1/2″ x 14 3/4″ x 9 1/2 tall. Music disc selection numbers: 3126, 3392 (Jolly Fellows Waltz), 3175, 3252 (The Poor Jonathan Waltz), 3409, 3160 (The Barber of Sevilla), 3327 (Auld Robin Gray Song) , 3259, 3751. Others I cannot read in German or the titles are worn. The discs are in playable condition.
