This is a project for a skilled restorer. It needs more cosmetic work than mechanical. The spring is fine, and the motor works.
It runs sluggish, and it will need a thorough cleaning and oiling. The two combs are both missing teeth as shown, and one washer on both combs. The case measures approximately 17 1/2″ wide by 13 1/2″ deep and 8 tall, without feet. The player weighs about 27.8 pounds.
The case is going to need extensive veneer work. The only panel that does not need replacement is the back. I think that it is mahogany, but may be walnut.
The top also has a missing piece of molding, and front section missing a small piece of trim at top. There are some teeth, that may or may not belong to this machine. The loose part is missing a center wire. There is only one original foot. Please view the photos carefully.
If you do not see it, it is missing. I think this machine is worth the effort of an advancer restorer, or certainly some nice parts.
Photos will give an accurate representation, and best tell the story. Please note: i do not use second chance offers.
If you receive one, it is a scam.
