It is coin operated and plays the huge 23 diameter disc. It will fill an entire large room with beautiful music as you can hear from the above link. There are 15 excellent discs which go with it and all play great. It stands just under 8 feet tall so it will fit in a normal height room. It comes in two cabinets, one which holds the actual music box movement and the other is the matching base bin for the discs. If you are looking for a giant music box, this is the one to have.
